Think you missed Bill’s point. He is saying automatic weapons should be banned. Not all guns. I agree. There is no reason for someone who is not a police officer or in the military to own an automatic weapon. I personally hate guns but respect your Second Amendment right to own one as long as it is a rifle or non-automatic pistol. The Second Amendment was written in a time where many used rifles to hunt for survival and pistols for self-defense as we recently had a war on our soil. The concept of an automatic weapon was never considered when the Amendment was written.
