Green at Compression Testing- 700 1988

While I'm familiar with the fundamentals of rings and their operation, I'm not sure I understand what "stuck" rings are and how they effect performance. I understand that rings provide a seal between the piston and the cylinder bore and once worn can allow compression to lower and oil to pass through to the combustion chamber. I'm guessing that stuck rings are due to deposits of oil, but what exactly is a stuck ring doing?

If this Ol Schlamm Splung is a LM product in blue-on-white cans, I'm pretty sure my parts guy carries it. His mother's from Germany but I'm not sure how good his German is. I'll see if he has it once the wagon's back on the road. I've got a weeks vacation coming up soon, and this car will be getting a lot of fussing then.

Thanks-
Dylan
