The reason I have a Delco is that the earlier-type B18 block I had at the time had no provision for mounting a Bosch. Ron's bracket was the only ready-made solution to mounting an alternator at all. It worked fine for years, I already own it, so I'll use it again even though that car will now get a B20E that would mount the Bosch alt no problem.

I should point out that the Delco I bought was not a $40 rebuild. I think I paid around $120 for it from NAPA. Or maybe I just got lucky...
