USED front / rear license plate mounting bracket for selected Volvo models. This bracket mounts to the front or rear of a number of Volvo automobiles, and then utilizes a set of 4 integral threaded studs to hold a standard size US license plate (generally about 6" high by about 12" wide) in place. The bracket is of unfinished steel construction, but may be galvanized or constructed with some other method to resist rust. All 4 studs are attached. Though this bracket came from a Volvo 240 wagon I used to own, I am not sure if it is an OEM Volvo part, or from an aftermarket manufacturer. I cannot locate any part number stamped on the bracket.
Again, this bracket came from a 1991 Volvo 240 wagon that I used to own, but the vehicle was retired and parted out. Therefore, I have no use for this, and offer it up here. According to my research, this bracket is listed to fit a variety of Volvo 200-, 700-, 800-, 900-, C-, S-, and V-series vehicles. Volvo was pretty well known for the interchangeability of many of its parts. The bracket may work for other years, makes, and models as well. Please do your own research before bidding. The item is in acceptable condition cosmetically, and excellent condition functionally. The bracket is in great structural integrity; all three main parts of the assembly are firmly affixed to each other, and the four threaded studs used to mount the license plate itself are also firmly affixed in place. The bracket lays flat, and there does not appear to be any bends or warping. The threads on the four studs are in fine shape. There are some small areas of whitish corrosion on the bracket assembly, but no real rust to speak of. There are quite a few areas of discoloration on the metal, as well as a number of areas of scratching, particularly around the holes used to mount the bracket to the vehicle. There is also some dust and grime from years of normal use and storage. The two screws / bolts used to mount the bracket to the vehicle, and the four acorn nuts typically used to mount a license plate to the bracket are NOT included, though this hardware can be inexpensively and readily sourced at just about any decent hardware store. Please view all pictures to get a better sense of the condition of everything. What you see in the pictures is what you will receive – the bracket itself. NO other hardware is included.
