Hi, this thread is very interesting to me... because guess what my 92 740 wagon is doing? Uh-huh... no 4th gear, little OD light only comes on sometimes when I push the button...

So, is the consensus here that the 4th gear is locked out in the presence of, or in the absence of, power to the solenoid?

And is the relay the most likely culprit?
