I had a problem pulling to the right soon after adopting my '87 740 GLE wagon. The front right tire was worn more than the others. I had replaced the front tires together to assure even tire wear only to find that my car would still pull to the right. I went in for an alignment job and the mechanics discovered that my right front caliper was locking up.
After replacing both front calipers (they recommended replacing them together), new pads and turned discs, that problem went away and, so far, I have even tire wear on the front of my vehicle. I didn't have a problem replacing both as I think the left was an original and this car now has over 275,000 miles on it, plus, I don't mess around when it comes to the brakes. A car that can't go is not nearly as bad as a car that can't stop.
Now on to the next batch of problems . . .
