My car had recently developed an alignment problem; At speeds above 35 MPH it would pull to the right. The alignment was within spec, tire pressures were OK, and I had previously replaced all front end bushings, tie rods and ends and ball joints with new. I was stumped. This was a real puzzler and it made the car unpleasant and unsafe to drive. The problem was the front tires!! Specifically the right front tire has apparently developed more rolling resistance than the left front. I rotated the tires front to rear and the problem has gone away. Has anyone else ran into this? The tires are older Dunlops, P205/60R-15's, and have ample tread left. I will be getting new tires, probably P195/70R-15's or something closer to the stock size. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has also had this problem and can explain why this occurs. Would also like som new tire recommendations.
