I know that the Turbo ECU is different. I think the ignition computer might be the same but it is still necessary to switch all the wiring because of the differences between the turbo and NA cars: Battery location and AMM location. I spoke with a mechanic who said he did it once by switching all the wiring starting at the large multiplugs under the dash on the left and right side. Volvo was smart here because the chasis wiring and the engine wiring are separated. I already have the Turbo wiring harness from an 88 740. I just hope it works out. I plan on converting in the summer when the engine is ready. (I should look for a second car in case: 244?) Most people seem to tell me to buy a turbo car, but I think this is doable.
