Re: HOW TO CONVERT FROM LH 2.2 TO LH 2.4? 700 1989

I am pretty sure the fuel pumps are the same. The AMMs are both -007s. Note that there is no boost input to the ECU. I suspect very strongly that they are identical and interchangeable. The injector resistor pack for the low impedence higher flowing 300 cc/min injectors is needed.

If the non turbo 213 cc/min high impedence injectors work fine with the same AMM and ECU, then, why do the turbo 300 cc/min low impedence injectors work fine? Usually, raising flow rate by 30% will result in very poor running unless there is remapping -- that margin is outside of the 02 sensor ability to compensate. So maybe I am wrong about interchangeable ECUs. I have access to a few and might try a swap sometime.

The LH 2.4 ECU appears to have a rpm limiter that is more like 6500 rpm. Few if any LH 2.2 ECUs allow more than 6000 rpm.

Another area of possible change is the ignition ECU. But I would not be surprised it that was the same also.
