What would you do? (engine choice) 120-130 1967

Hope this turns out to be your toughest decision...

I would never put evidence of FI (ie head) in an Amazon (or PV) that I cared what it looked like, or cared what other people thought of my choice...

Re: bored B18...This engine was originally designed and always intended to be enlarged to 2 liters. The block is more than adequate to safely enlarge to at least .040 OS from B20 spec. Only reported problems involved early casting flaws, never inadequate wall thickness...
I recently pulled the B18 in my '62 Amazon with 65K original miles to freshen the engine paint etc, and am (temporarily) replacing it with another correct B18 newly bored to B20, (non-FI) B20 head, K cam, 9.5:1CR, lightened flywheel, etc.
Will look just like original motor, with maybe 35-40 more hp. And in this car, looking right is important to me, as it would be in a GT.

The B20 sounds ideal for the wagon...

So for me, clearly Curtain #2

Naught to be gained fussing with 1800 exhaust further back than down-pipe...
