Restore 200 1988

Thanks for the effort on the clarification.

I was just trying to see if the "Showroom New grey" brand of bumper stain, sold by IPD, ended up producing that dark of a grey color at the bottom of your door trim. Presently, I use Black Magic "Tire & Trim Shine" on my bottom door trim and it turns the trim from light grey to dark grey/black very easily. But I will need some sort of stain/paint at some point down the line in that area as it is starting to show stages of fade.

I have the waxing department covered via a system of multiple layers of Mother's #1 & #2 - followed by multiple coats of Collinite's Insulator Wax or #476 as top coats.

The Coronas I picked up had the painted inside edges of medium grey contrasted by a separate polish and clear-coat process on the outer edges and rim. Or at least, that's what I had concluded was the original process. I had never heard nor seen them described as such before. I'm trying to decide if Detergent 600 and a simple clear coat can somehow salvage them or I will need to start from scratch.
