All I can add at this point, my changer eject button light comes on if pushed - with or without the cartrige in place. Make sure you have voltage, it is supposed to be live all of the time.

Do you remember if there is a small hole in the cover by the inside release lever? Enough to use a paperclip to force the eject? I just forgot. I think my grey matter is getting more grey daily :)
