I LOVE this S60 T5!!!

I was making the trek from work back home last night and couldn't help but notice a little VTEC running up through traffic in my rear view. I decided to let him pass and then promptly glued myself back to his bumper. It was the usual "ricemobile" decked out with the requisite exhaust tip, lowered, noisy as hell, spoiler, etc, etc, ad nauseum. He was probably doing around 90 MPH and every time he got an opening he'd shoot up to who knows what until he came upon traffic again. I stayed with him (probably only had to use half throttle) and he finally HAD to see what it was behind him that was giving his bumper such a rough time. I passed him slowly and threw it down into third just after shooting a glance his way. This thing PULLS LIKE A SLINGSHOT! He just kept getting smaller and smaller in the rear view. He wasn't too bad in the curves but the Volvo still put distance between myself and the VTEC even in the CORNERS!! I exited sometime later and it appeared that he was taking the same exit some distance back. I'm waiting the for light to change at the intersection and I hear someone honking their horn and it's the guy, he's beside me. I roll down the window and prepare for his excuse/insult/stupid comment and it goes something like this,

Him - "Holy S&^%! What the hell do you have going on under there?"

Me - "Bone stock."

Him - "My GOD! That thing has top end like I've never seen before on a car like that" <--- I'm still trying to understand what he meant by this. Like what?

Me - "Yeah, turbos are kind of fun aren't they?"

Him - "Those Volvos have come one helluva a long way eh?"

Me - "Yeah, I'd like to think they're getting a little sportier."

Him - "A LITTLE??? I've got mods on this thing and I've beaten a ton of other cars out there but that thing I just can't keep up with."

Me - "Thanks." I didn't want to hear about the Neons and Cavaliers he'd taken out earlier in the day.

Light changed and that was it. Even the "Ricers" are starting to take notice of "Volvo Performance".
