Power window relay -

The function of the relay is only to prevent the windows from being operative without using the key. It has no other function.

The power to run the window motors flows through fuse #10 (on my 1988 244) which is hot without the key. The relay power comes from Fuse #12, hot with the key in position II or III,

Test all the switches before considering the relay to be at fault. Switches are known to get weird. Mine seem sensitive to high humidity levels!
