Ringlee ... just got off the phone with the machine shop .... block will be ready Friday .... bored, with a new set of MAHLE pistons and rings and the crank honed .. all necessary gaskets & bearings.... CDN$1,250 + 15% Tax ...... about twice as much as I was hoping to get away with .... but the motor should be good for a long time to come .... and that was with getting a break on the Mahle pistons ... only $300 as they were OLD stock .... if he had to bring in a new set they would have been over $400 ... this does not include the cost of the STREET TORQUE CAM and LIFTERS or new rear seal that I provided .... This puppy better purr like a kitten when we get her back in the car ...... I also used the time with the engine out to "tiddly up" the engine compartment so I won't be ashamed to lift my hood to the public any longer .... now all I have to do is go see my friendly neighbourhood loan shark to bail her out .... SIGH ..... no wonder I decided not to do a "ROAD TRIP" this summer ....
