Watch your jack, back... 140-160

Yikes! I would never use one of those scary looking OEM jacks.
I've seen too many in salvage yards that just flopped around
like their loving owner was using it in an emergency and the
jack gave and smooshed the owner, sending both to their respective
salvage yards.

I have a hydraulic jack at home for when I'm doing real work and
I've got a pair of salvage yard jacks in my car (and a couple of
big blocks of wood to put between the jack and the body to keep
from denting the metal or scratching the paint). I've got one
from a toyota and one from a sterling (probably the only part of
the car the brits didn't mess up).

Don't screw around with those crazy screw jacks that sit in those
wacky mount points that are probably cracked and rusted from too
much jacking. A normal jack on a block of wood just inside the
sill up against the front or rear wheel well is a good place.
I always put the jack stand under the same piece of wood as the
jack.
