Auto trans swap...is this possible? 200 1980

If your going from non OD automatic (probably bw-55/aw-55) to an OD auto (AW-70/AW-71) then I would think it would work. Just make sure you have access to the driveshaft, tranny support,etc. from the donor car. There will probably be a difference in length (but maybe not). Also, get the OD wiring and shifter, too. Maybe change front and rear seals while your at it.

Generally anything you can see that is not on your car already (that has to do with tranny of course).

Personally I prefer manual, myself (yee haw!)
