Urgent! Problem in Changing Thermostat.

Are you sure you're using the correct socket?

Adjustable wrench will probably just make it worse at this point.

Can you get in there with vise grips? My car isn't handy to look at right now, but I've had good luck with these in the past.

Also, once you get something locked on, try steady medium torque instead of using full strength straight off.
