The M410 transmission won't fit unless it has the
B20 output shaft and also if you have one of the
couple hundred B20 -> M410 bell housings. These
were on only a few of one year of 1800, are rare,
and in general only desirable if you wish to make
a B20 with B30 power for use in racing.
The M410 is not a volvo built transmission, and
was only used in the fuel injected B30s. Find out
what it came from -- it is almost 100% certain that
it came from a 164.
I've read from topi's web site that the M410
can use the top off of an M40 or M41, but this is
the smallest of your problems when using it in a
140.
You would be better off sourcing a M41, which is
the correct transmission for this car. I have an
M41 that I'm probably not going to use, and would
like to have an M410 for my 164. I'd probably
even throw in some money given the rarity of the
M410 transmission. Are you the guy in colorado?
I'm in riverside, california.
