This is an interesting question. I remember the M47 as having a .83 fifth gear ratio, and the M46 as having a .8 overdrive ratio.

So wwy does my .83:1 fifth gear get me 3000 at 90, and your .8:1 get you 3000 at 80?

Something doesn't add up here... anyone have ideas?
