USED complete set of 2 genuine, OEM liftgate / trunk lid emblems from the liftgate of a 1991 Volvo 240-series wagon. These emblems identify the make and model of the vehicle for a variety of 1985-93 Volvo 240-series sedans (on the trunk lid) and wagons (on the bottom of the liftgate). The emblems appear to be of chrome-plated or polished non-ferrous construction, with black accents around the edges. They attach to the body with a foam adhesive, perhaps a double-sided tape of some sort. The "Volvo" emblems measures about 8-5/8" wide, by about 1-1/4" high, by about 1/8" thick. The "240" emblem measures about 5-1/4" wide, by about 1-1/2" high (at its highest point), by about 1/8" thick. From the research I've done, it appears the OEM part # for the "Volvo" emblem is 1369001, and for the "240" emblem it is 3540378.

Also from the research I've done, these part numbers appear to correspond to the following years and models:

"Volvo" emblem (1369001):
1986-93 Volvo 240
1984-92 Volvo 740
1982-90 Volvo 760
1987-91 Volvo 780

"240" emblem (3540378):
1985-93 Volvo 240

They may work for other applications as well. In fact, they can be collected, or used wherever you can use adhesive to attach them. Please consult a trusted source to make sure these will work for your application before purchase.

I obtained these emblems from a 1991 Volvo 240-series wagon I used to own, but I no longer own the vehicle. Therefore, I have no use for these, and offer them up here.

The items are in accpetable condition cosmetically, and excellent condition functionally. With new adhesive, they would make functional replacements for missing emblems, or emblems in poor condition. The emblems are complete with no missing letters or numbers. The chrome or polished metal retains most of its original gloss, but there are quite a few scratches, dings, and scuffs; a few of these are more significant, as can be seen in the pictures. I have cleaned the emblems with chrome polish and soap and water, but you may wish to do more work on them. The black accents are in good shape, but there appears to be some stress in some areas from the removal process. Both emblems are structurally intact but they do bend slightly, especially in thin areas. In their current state, they lay mostly flat, but not perfectly so. There is some residual dust, dirt, and grime on the parts from normal use and storage. The back of the emblems clearly have quite a bit of residual foam adhesive material from the original application; although I have scraped this down to just a surface coating, you may wish to do further work on removal. There are some scrape marks and a few gouges on the back from the removal process. There does not appear to be any corrosion on the parts.

Please view all pictures to get a better sense of the condition of everything.

Please also consult a trusted source to verify these will work for your application before purchase.
