On my typical three hour trip on 65MPH interstates, I like to sit at about 72. It doesn't seem like an absurdly high speed to me, as I get passed by some and pass others. I've also blown right by MA state troopers at that speed and they don't seem to care. They don't seem to mind a little bit of excess speed on most days as long as you're not doing anything dumb like weaving in and out of traffic. My 740 drives really nicely at that speed, too.
What's funny is what happens when I drive my dad's car. There's something about that 850T that, despite having twice as much horsepower as mine, causes me to slip below the speed limit unless I pay very close attention to what I'm doing. I honestly don't know why that happens. My dad seems to do the same thing. The fastest I ever go in that car is probably when I'm blasting up one of those straight onramps with good visibility. Much fun to be had there. :) Almost makes me want to start screwing with my engine in search of more horsepower of my own.
