Re: flushing radiator ALL 1988

BC,

The radiators do not have the drain plugs with which you may be familiar. I just take off the top and bottom hoses and flush away. If the hoses don't want to come off and I am planning on replacing them I just cut them at the end and they peel right off. The easiest way to drain the cooling system and insure good recovery of the coolant is to attach a hose to the extension on the side of the block under the exhaust manifold (between 3 and 4). Loosen with a 13 mm wrench and unscrew it- the coolant will flow out and into the pan you have directed the hose to.
