I highly doubt that an O2 sensor would help you for that, even if you did manage to get it functional.
I think that a person who's good with old Volvo carbs and using a good CO machine (if needed) could fix your problem without a dyno.
Way back when (when cars used carbs) I've repaired/rebuilt many a carb on other car makes and never needed to use an O2 sensor (when the car didn't have one originally that is) or dyno to repair or adjust one.
Do you know of any "vintage" Volvo repair places in your area?
