It would have been better to drive out the pin on apposite end of the shaft, then slide out shaft with shutter still attached keeping all parts in correct order and alignment. Suggest you visit a friendly Volvo shop and ask to see a distributor, they typically have one, some shops even rebuild them. Observe the alignment of shutter to the offset link piece that the pin goes through and transfer to yours. If your nice a dealer parts person might even lay a distributor on the counter for you to observe.

Any slight error in the alignment will be corrected when you set timing with a light. This small error amount would then be transferred to the rotor but that would not matter at all as long as it is slight.

I plan to remove my distributor this weekend to replace the O rings (I have an oil leak). Could look at mine and post info on the alignment for you. Or other posters with a spare distributor might oblige.
