I have too many projects.

** I will entertain offers including construction materials, certain 1980s/1990s Ford parts, or significant discount for just showing up with a large trailer and not asking a lot of questions. **

Regardless of sale terms, I will provide knowledge after sale if the buyer wants to continue using the Ford Zetec engine.

This is a 1965 4-door Amazon. Was blue, painted black primer exterior now.

Located in Augusta Maine, where it has been since I moved back to Maine in 2012. It hasn't been outdoors since.

All this work was done prior to storage, between 2009-2012:

All bodywork is good, NO RUST. Went over it top to bottom before repainting (SEM flat black primer/topcoat).

All interior is COMPELTELY REDONE, new light blue upholstery from VP Autoparts, 123GT dash pad and parts for tachometer. Add on VDO gauge panel. New wiring harness. New headliner and carpet.

I bought this car converted to a Ford Focus Zetec engine and Merkur T9 5-speed. The former owner put about 4000 miles on the rebuild, but was pretty hopeless with engines and wiring and blew the engine up in the process.

I put in a NEW, 0 MILE CRATE ENGINE. I have a tuner for the Ford ECM and got 35-40 mpg in a car that has the same gearing and about twice the power of a stock 122. I have also fitted an intake manifold from a Euro Ford XR3i H.O. in place of the US spec Zetec intake.

I drove it for about 1000 miles and took it off the road to modify the car further as a high mpg grocery getter (was aiming for 45mpg; and also wanted to get the wiring correct/documented/re-do some of the modified parts to be more permanent).

It would need brake hydraulics (was converting to dual circuit master cylinder), an exhaust, fuel lines and tank modifications, and some other work to get on the road again. New windshield and gasket, original rear window and new gasket are not installed.

ALL CHANGES ARE REVERSIBLE. If you have a rusty RWD Volvo, put your drivetrain in this one and drive it in a weekend.

If you want to continue the changes, it's mostly done. 2 sets of tires are NEW but probably dry rotted. Comes with a set of 4000-mile Vredenstein tires in the stock size, and a set of 16" Mustang wheels with Goodyear Viva tires that have under 1000 miles.

Likewise, belts, hoses, and custom radiator (recored 122 radiator with moved inlet; also have a new 240 radiator) were new when I got it; heater core was rebuilt; brakes are new and have new brake and suspension parts. Sits on new KYB shocks, stock type rubber bushings, progressive springs. Comes with poly bushing set, additional ball joints, and other parts.

I parked this almost 10 years ago in Augusta, Maine, in a storage unit. I would like to empty my storage.

Included in sale: Parts to complete vehicle with Zetec engine/electric water pump/etc; wiring diagrams showing changes to wiring. Ford Focus and Volvo manuals. Hella fog lights. Bumper, custom class 2 tow hitch, Focus RWD headers and spare engine parts, multiple master cylinders including a Mazda RX7 unit to convert to dual circuit.
Just too much to list and more than you could fit in a single pickup load. Most of the installed parts came from VP Autoparts and I can supply receipts. A lot of the parts I test-fit are from RockAuto and of various quality levels.

I've got too much going on in my life and too many projects. If you want a very nice body to drop a Volvo drivetrain in, this is it. If you want a Focus-powered, 5-speed grocery getter project, this is it. If no one wants it, I'll store it for another 10 years.

My email is in my profile. I'll send pictures if there is interest in this oddball.
