Hello all, I have an 89 240 than I have been having problems with as of late.
A couple of weeks back, my car started to get significantly less gas mileage that normal (more than 6mpg less than normal). It gave me a 2-1-2 code. I checked the voltage on the 02 wire, and it stuck at .9v, so I decided to replace it.
So I bought a generic Borg - Warner 3 wire O2 sensor off ebay and hooked it up today. I drove it around for a bit after clearing the codes.
I came back, checked the codes, and the original 2-1-2 code has gone away, but the 1-1-3(fuel trim too lean or rich) code and the 2-3-2 code(fuel trim too lean/rich at idle) are there. I have done nothing else to the car, and I am stumped. I checked the 02 reading earlier, it seemed to be fine, so I assume I hooked up the sensor correctly.
Looking at the FAQ tells me the 1-1-3 code is caused by an incorrect mixture/02 sensor, what gives?
What do I need to check/do to solve this problem?
Thanks for the help.
