Bruce, I actually just tired that vacuum line thing on a car of our the other day, and dropped nox from ~1700 to ~800, and sneaked the car through. Quite a nify idea. Also, I was playing with it while the car was on the dyno under load and hooked up (we were pretesting it, and trying to see if the cat would warm up) and disconnecting the vacuum line would drop the nox about 50% (1700 to 800 or so) and had no affect on the hc and co. I had been concern about the retarded timing causing higher hc and co emmisions. Good idea.
On to my problem. I had not considered that part of the ekz system. I agree that a na 240 system would probably not work. I am considering simply putting a later Lh/ezk system on. I wouldn't mind having a customizable system like ms, but that costs money. I have basically no spare $$$, but do have access to a pretty good selection of used parts, so making somehting up wouldn't be too hard.
