Function of Radio Suppression relay? 700

Bruce,

I've also been a bit leary of the "quivering tach needle" as a true test of RPM sensor output. Although I'll admit to being one of those that has suggested to people to watch for it, but only as "a possible hint" as to what their problem might be.

I'm curious as to whether your 93 Regina tach needle ever DOES quiver during cranking. My 90 740 Regina DOES. What if if you were to inhibit the engine starting some other way - for instance, put the fuel relay back in and say disconnect the coil-to-distributor hot lead. Then crank it and watch the needle. If it then DID quiver, it would say to us that the the fuel pump relay MAY BE the problem if your car won't start and the needle doesn't quiver.
