Pump problem 1800 1972

Note that there is a safety factor built into the system--when you turn the key to "on" there is only momentary power to the fuel pump---2 or 3 seconds to establish initial fuel pressure. If you're turning the key to on and then going out to check the voltage, you are missing it (if it's there).
