a 1984 Volvo 245 dl Diesel 200 1984

Being quite rare the value is mostly about what it is worth to you to have the diesel engine. Despite what they say on Ebay, this engine is mostly famous for blowing up after a short service life. Most shops won't touch it, and it will cost a lot if you can't do maintainence(headgaskets and timing belts) yourself.
Also be aware that the 740 diesels are almost twice as fast with the turbocharged engine.

That being said, I love my 745, and the electricals and crap plastics have given me more trouble than the motor. I would consider a manual trans to add$500 to the value of the car, but thats just my opinion.
