Ok last question I hope. Same car, 79 242GT B21F, manual traanny. It has the manual injection system, CIS. I can get the car started fine. First turn of the key everytime. It starts idleing around 1000, then after opening the throttle it goes to 2K plus. It stays there no matter what I do. There is a gap between the throttle stop and lever. I can not make it go all the way closed. I can adjust the air screw and get it to idle down but the smell of gas is strong. I gueess I am enriching the mixture too much. Is there any thing or procedure I need to do to get an idle of 800? I am not familiar with this system and I am lost..I know there is a diaphram that controls the fuel flow to the injectors by metering the air pressure,but will that cause the high idle? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
