Heater motor replacement - remove the dead A/C? 200

I agree that the weight is inconsequetial. Also please remember that "never" is a long time. I have seen many people who said they would "never" get their A/C going again change their mind after a sweltering summer or a job change that required one to be un-sweaty and well pressed for work.

The a/c system also performs the function of clearing the windshield on very humid rainy days. I have a vivid memory of sitting in my un-air conditioned 72 Mustang on a sweltering summer day during a summer downpour; stuck in traffic, The windows were closed to stay dry, and I had to run the heater to clear the windshield. Fun times, let me tell you.
