Don't use an IPD magnetic drain plug (my opinion) S70 1998

I've used these for years on all my Volvos and never had a problem. I'd describe this as a freak thing (and ask IPD for a replacement). My guess is the magnet is attached to the oilpan right near the hole. Have you tried running your finger around the inside of the rim?
