hmm... no smoke and other stuff you described...why? I have no idea, but it works and this regular vehicle inspection said that co2 and other components are almost ok, at least i passed this test. You can try yourself. Disconnect original power wire and connect injectors directly to battery.
Problem is when engine is not running, then injectors are still working(because direct connection between battery) and after an hour or so you can smell gasoline.
But I have still problems with ICV. checked wires, changed ecus, even tried to disconnect relays etc, still whirring. tried another motor, for that, nothing changed.
P.S. I drive every day 120 miles with gasoline 98 and average fuel cons. is about 7.2-7.8l/100km.
100 miles highway with 55-60 mph , 20 miles city. Not speeding fast and trying to use brakes only when really needed.
