I can only imagine how much fun an LS3 is. Unfortunately I don't have the budget to include an LS swap with a manual tranny. I am fortunate enough to have a gear head ASE master mechanic for a father in law and a wife that understands. He has purchased my '81 245 as a Christmas present and has agreed to couch quarter back me through the build. He is currently on his 15th resto project and I'm doubly lucky to have a brother in law that works in the marine repair industry specializing in fiberglass, gel coat, and paint repair. I currently have a donated L31 long block assembly, but we've yet to take a peek inside and know if it's good inside. I plan to either freshen it up with new internals and a mild cam to wake it up a bit (in the 200-230 degree range) if the cylinders are good or punch it out and go with a 383 Stroker kit if the cylinders are bad. The block comes from a 'Burb so I not expect much of an issue with cylinder damage. Can't wait to get started!
P.S. Can some one clue me in on how to post pics to the forum so I can't post pics of my Brick?
