you don't know how good you've got it

I think I read you right Paul, that you're offering praise to this forum based on an experience trying to get help on a Lincoln.

Of course, we rarely appreciate what we have without a comparative reference. You've seen similar results in your recent postings on Turbobricks, although perhaps the "mundane" questions get a little rougher treatment from the kids. However, no forum has collected as many Volvo experts on the California emissions challenges.

The biggest advantage I see to these forums is having advice open to peer review. Naturally, "peer" is up for definition, as some of us might think we are peerless. But having a forum where irrelevant, inaccurate, and inane replies are rebutted, begins to carve out a more responsible community.

Because it is a community, those using it for questions are encouraged to follow through with the rest of the story (as aleekat says, "post back - that's what makes this forum work") as well as remember those using it to answer questions are not always in tune with the asker's assumptions.

You are right, very few of us know how good we have it.
