No, the T5 is most definately a manual. I doubt it shares a bellhousing pattern with an automatic either - an automatic has a big bulgy bellhousing for the torque convertor.

Almnost everyone swaps the other way, so you are a little on your own in this regard. You culd look into a later model Volvo auto box - those sometimes sit behind fairly stout Turbo motors so they are surely a bit stronger than the clunky BW35, but their bellhousings are intended to sit behind a slanted OHC Volvo motor. The engine/bellhousing patterns are the same though, other than the slant. Its possible you could find someone with the skils to band saw the bellhousing in half, rotate it, and reweld it.
