Problem Solved...For Now. 120-130 1967

My old 122 had very fine almost invisible cracks in the bakelite on the top of the coil. Worked fine unless the weather turned damp, in which case those cracks would become conducting conduits and the spark would 'leak' from the coil wire to the metal sides of the coil. During the day it would just be dead, but at night you could crank the motor and see where the spark was going. Don't know if your problems are moisture related vs. temp related, though.
