Whats the difference between a Lambdasond and an Oxygen sensor... 900

Lambda Sond is the term that Volvo uses for the ideal 14 to 1 mix of air to fuel to be burned in the cylinder. The oxygen sensor is how the engine control module knows what that mix really is by sending the e.c.m. a voltage signal that corresponds with the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. Since this is one of the most critical sensor in the fuel system I would go to the nearest Volvo store to make sure you get the correct one. You need a digital voltmeter to check the sensor voltage and that voltage should oscillate between .1 to .9 volt when everything is working as it should.
