Removing B18 engine 120-130 1967

remove the tranny x-member so that you can swing it low at the back. speaking of which I find it easiest if I raise the front of the vehicle on jack stands so that I can achieve the angle of dangle neccesary to pull the whole thing (especially if there is an overdrive) It was almost perpendicular at one point. Otherwise some hoist are easier to reposition the chain on then others, the B18 comes out nicely iof you repo a 3 times during the pull. ie., kind of horizontal pull it forward a bit, more vertical pull it up and forward a bit, very vertical straight up, and depending on your set up maybe jsut lift the tranny to clear the car.
