Starter reliability 700 1989

I am having a similar problem. Looks like it may end up being a bad voltage regulator and increased battery drain from cold weather and heater (blower) usage. Battery shows good cells, low charge. I would get a click when trying to start. Thought it was a bad starter because the percussive engineering (thank God for the MagLight) would work. Spent 70 bucks getting my starter refurbed at a local starter/alternator shop. Check all your connections too, as the starter draws a huge ammount of current.
