700 power window problem

I have an '86 764T. My left rear window works from the rear door only. My right rear window only goes down, and only from the rear door. The driver's controls do nothing for the rear windows, but the front windows work fine from the driver and passenger side. Also, the lockout switch does not lock out the rears, they continue to work fine. Additionally, the left rear door does not lock with the power controls -- but the right rear does just fine (the one with the window problem).

I removed the right rear window motor (pain in the neck) and tested it, and it runs fine in both directions. I read the post at http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/?id=312525
about the wire breaks. However, my symptoms are different in that the driver's controls don't work at all, and the lockout switch does not lock them out.

There are two thin wires inside the driver's door which have apparently been disconnected from something. One is white with a yellow tracer and the other is plain white. These come out of the same bundle as the power window wires, but they are smaller in size. Neither of them appear to have power or ground regardless of window/door positions.

Can anyone provide some insite into this problem? I'm not great at reading wiring diagrams, but I have them, and can use them in a pinch. My main concern is which wires are which. I know pins 1 and 2 on a window switch go to the motor. Is there a consensus as to what the other 3 are for? I.e., which one is the common, and which ones are the signal wires? I want to check for wire breaks, but I need some more info before I know where to test to effectively narrow it down.

I replaced the relay and it didn't seem to matter. As a side note, the previous owner removed the relay for the DRLs and rear fog lights, as well as the fuse for these. I assume this was to get rid of the painfully annoying DRLs. (For those of you unfamiliar with this ridiculous concept, DRLs are Daytime Running Lights which run your headlights at about 65% brightness when you'd rather have them off.) I don't think the DRL/rear fog light circuit would have anything to do with the windows, but I can purchase the parts and replace them if anyone thinks it might help.

I'm not a novice shade tree mechanic nor a Volvo newbie, but this is probably the most complex issue I've been faced with (and I've replaced engines...) So any help you can offer would be great. Thank you in advance!
