700 power window problem

My left rear door speaker only worked with the door open, so I would take things apart, put them back together thinking everything was fixed, then next time driving with the door shut, no speaker. It ended up being a frayed wire in the bundle going into the door, but the break wasn't right in the hinge area, but actually in the piller between the front and rear doors. I would take apart all electrical connections and clear them and check for continuity until you find the bad one. How about solder connctions on the switches themselves?
