Fittings

Swivel fittings have no gaskets. They are routinely used on hydraulic systems with pressures over 3000 psi. They do not leak. Even low pressure hydraulic hose has burst pressures around 1000 psi. Many farm equiment repair facilities will make hoses of the size, fittings, and length you want for a reasonable cost. Swivel fittings also have no tendency to come loose and are not fastened with safety wire even on aircraft use.

Once upon a time many years ago I was a Jet Hydraulic Mechanic in the Air Guard. I did lots of hydraulic repair work. O-rings will wear and harden with age, and then leak. The swivel flare fittings never leak.

The maximum engine oil pressure your car will produce (maybe 80 psi cold) will not strain even low pressure hydraulic hose with swivel flare fittings.
