Actually the rings that de-tempered are the stock rings and I was in the process of looking at the aftermarket rings because of availability. Knowing the D24 is the same as the VW 4-cyl with 2 more holes I went looking in that direction, the turbo jetta.

As for the speeder, I was off duty at the time of the call but under a mile away from his last known location. I went to take a look and sure enough found him and followed until the marked units could catch up. Funny thing is my TD was having a better time keeping up than the Vics in the curves.
Perps car was a rice-rocket wannabe Mazda RX-7 that listed as stolen. I normally dont patrol in my own car however it is equipped with lights and siren. No one would take me seriously if I attempted to stop them from speeding!
