How to thoroughly clean undercarriage?

Over here, I would stop at one of the firms specializing in rust-proofing and ask what a steam cleaning would actually cost; they have got the right equipment for this. You know, it's the hair that's your problem, the oil is not doing any harm - on the contrary.

For washing off the road salt I routinely use my pressure washer and an underbody wand – simply a long jet tube with a 90 deg. angle at the nozzle end. But even if the pressure is quite high, I don't think it could beat steam cleaning for your purpose though.
