Ambient Temp Gauge

All things considered, it certainly isn't the worst project I've ever accomplished. (See abouve full description) And the only tricky part on the dash is separating the black trim after unscrewing its attachments. Took me a couple of hours with one confirmatory call to my Volvo mechanic friend. (It's a lot easier to take things a part when you actually know what you're doing...)

I will assume that all 97 (either 960 or S/V90 nomenclature) will be the same as mine, which is prewired. You can confirm that by looking at the middle front part of the air dam. There is a plastic pan that sits in front of the main splash pan. I didn't have to remove this, but located the cable that was just sitting in there, It's a two-prong female end.

With your '97 "kit" you will received the gauge and the end sensor. That's it. The gauge, of course, fits onto the dash, and the connector is right there. Simple, once your in there. Then take the end sensor and connect itto the existing wire connection and snap it inot the cirlular holder that is a part of that pan.

Tah dah!
