'son's '65 122 has an automatic transmission that was rebuilt a few months ago. Shortly after he got it back, he was driving and when he accelerated to about 20 mph, it shook and slowed down quickly, as if the brakes were on. It does the same thing in reverse (of course, not at 20 mph). It still does it. ASny insight to the problem with the little bit of information I've given? My impression is that it doesn't shift into 1st before the abrupt slow-down.
By the way, this isn't the same car I've gotten advice about recently There's a '64 122, a '67 122, '71 142, '71 164 and '79 244 in my driveway, in addition to the mentioned '65 122 in another state. Oh, there's a '65 donor car by the garage. My neighbors hate me.
