How much do you drive it in the winter?

Would probably be good for it if you drove it 2-3 times a week,
which would normally accrue more than 1000 miles/year. Get more value
out of your license plate and insurance, too.
If you only change once a year do it at the end of cold weather to
get rid of the condensate in your oil.
